Sgt. Edward Flak thought he was picking up his beloved '92 Mustang after a tune-up. But he was shocked and overwhelmed when he saw that his Mustang had been completely redone, complete with a new stereo.
Flak joked it wasn't the same car he left when he was deployed seven months ago.
"All I did was go over there and do what I was trained to do. And to come back and have all this support from all these people. It is overwhelming," he said. "It proves to me that everybody here cares about the job we're doing over there."
He thanked Bird Family Tire and Auto, Precision Paint and Body and several other businesses that made it all happen for only a fraction of the cost.
