Investigators say 21-year-old Justin Brooks was arrested without incident at a Las Vegas residence and was scheduled for extradition to Southern California.
Police say Brooks tried to hold up a store at Hollywood and Winona boulevards Monday morning and shot a clerk in the arm.
The neighborhood was closed off as officers searched for the gunman, who escaped without cash.
The clerk was hospitalized, treated and released.
