Calif. ethics board won't probe Schwarzenegger affair

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

The commission rejected a request to investigate whether Schwarzenegger violated state laws during his affair with a housekeeper.

The Los Angeles County Democratic Party had asked for an investigation into whether campaign money was used to cover up the relationship that produced a child.

The Fair Political Practices Commission says the information the party provided was insufficient. The party acknowledges it had no specific allegations.
