The /*California Highway Patrol*/ said a woman was crossing a dark part of the street near Vermont Avenue and Ashbridge Lane when she was struck by a car that kept on going.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they're looking for a green or silver four-door sedan with a flat tire and front-end damage.
