Station Fire fallen firefighters to be honored in dedication ceremony

LANCASTER, Calif.

The interchange at State Route 14 and Angeles Forest Highway will be known as the "Los Angeles County Fire Captain Ted Hall and Engineer Arnie Quinones Memorial Interchange."

Hall and Quinones were killed when their truck plunged 800 feet off a dirt road as they battled oncoming flames in the 2009 Station Fire - the largest wildfire in Los Angeles County history.

County officials are set to attend the ceremony along with relatives of the fallen heroes.

A section of the Angeles Forest Highway through the burned area has also been renamed in their honor.
