Vandals drew a mushroom and a smiley face over the star on Vine Street near the Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood. Several messages were written, including one saying, "I love you."
Luckily a cleanup crew was sent in to make sure all the graffiti is gone.
Lennon's birthday is on Wednesday, and fans gather every year around the star to celebrate his birthday. The star should be ready for the birthday celebration later this week.
