The wrong-way driver responsible for a massive traffic backup on the 14 Freeway in the Antelope Valley on June 17 was sentenced to seven years in state prison Thursday.

Rick Allen Walker, 54, pleaded no contest to four felony counts of DUI causing injury on Aug. 19.

The 54-year-old entered the northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway, headin southbound at an estimated 85 mph. He crashed head-on into a Dodge 2500 pickup which then triggered a chain-reaction that involved at least nine vehicles and left 11 people injured.
