Officers from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Police Department and FBI conducted the operation targeting members of a street gang known as Sur Crazy Ones. Six search warrants were served simultaneously at six locations at 6 a.m.
A MAC-11 submachine gun with extended magazine, a .40-caliber carbine rifle and a 9-mm pistol were seized in the searches, along with a flak jacket and a pound of marijuana. Police said the weapons were believed to be used by the gang to support criminal activity.
Officers arrested San Bernardino residents Jaime Castrellon, 24; Richard Ortega, 23; Javier Palomino, 30; and Ithzel Lopez, 29. They were booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
