Leticia Juarez's sister finds bone marrow match

MONROVIA, Calif.

Pam was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia and her doctors at City of Hope said she needed a bone marrow transplant.

Leticia and her family have held bone marrow drives throughout Southern California, but they don't know where Pam's donor is from.

Even though Pam has found a match, they're continuing to hold drives because the donor registry benefits everyone on the waiting list.

The next drive is Thursday, Feb. 13, at California State University, San Bernardino, in the lower commons area. They'll be there from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Organizers say all it takes is a cheek swab. You must be between 18 to 44 years old and in good health.
