Officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 2000 block of Mariposa Street at about 6:38 p.m. Monday.
Two men were found with gunshot wounds. The first victim, an 18-year-old male, was hospitalized and underwent surgery. He was listed in stable condition Monday night. The second man died at the scene.
The incident was under investigation. The city of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in homicide cases.
