Los Angeles Police received a call about a body at about 10 a.m. LAPD divers recovered the body.
The body was transported to the L.A. County Coroner for an autopsy. The woman was identified as 36-year-old Lorenza Arellano, believed to have been a transient.
Lt. Antonio Zamora with the LAPD's Hollenbeck Station said the victim had minor wounds on the body.
The lake is located in the area of St. Louis and 4th streets.
