ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Anaheim on Saturday, according to Anaheim police.

The shooting occurred in the 2000 block of W. Cris Avenue at about 4:30 p.m., Anaheim PD officials said.

Investigators said a suspect possibly shot at a police helicopter. The armed suspect then refused to comply with police and was fatally shot by three officers, Anaheim police stated.

At least one resident captured the officer-involved shooting on video. Some witnesses said they saw the suspect drop his gun before officers opened fire.

Police said one gun was recovered at the scene.

The incident began with a call of shots fired in the 900 block S. Roberts Street. Police said a male victim was shot in the leg by the suspect and is in stable condition.

Authorities said the victim and suspect were related. Family members said one was a brother-in-law of the other, and the two were fighting before making their way to the second location.

The Orange County District Attorney's office was expected to join the Anaheim Police Department to investigate the incident.

Police said all three officers involved in the shooting were on administrative leave.
