Children discover parents' bodies in Texas home following apparent murder-suicide

HOUSTON -- A husband shot and killed his wife before taking his own life Sunday morning at a home in southeast Houston, police said.

Police were called to the house in the 9500 block on Gardenbridge after getting a phone call from the couple's children.

There were four children in the home, between the ages of 1 and 19, who found their parents' bodies in the master bedroom. The children told police their parents had been arguing and took it behind closed doors before the shooting.

A police investigation is ongoing.
