GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A terrifying case of road rage was caught on camera on the 134 Freeway in Glendale on Saturday.

The driver, who does not want his name used and happens to work at Eyewitness News, was going westbound on the freeway when he was accosted.

"He was kind of alongside me the whole way down the highway and he seemed angry. I wasn't going to go over and look at him. I didn't want to validate his yelling," he said.

After driving next to him, a man in a black Infinity cut in front of a silver Jetta and slammed on the brakes.

The driver of the Infiniti then jumped out onto the freeway, ran to the other person's car and attacked. The driver in the car behind the Jetta shot cellphone video of the attack.

"I had my window down because it was a nice day, and before I knew it he was out of his car running up to my window and I'm trying to roll it up," the Jetta driver said.

He was able to get away and said he wasn't hurt. The California Highway Patrol said the video ultimately helped them find the suspect, who was identified as 35-year-old Dikran Gligoriu.

The CHP said it's recommending the district attorney charge him with assault and child endangerment because his three kids were in the car at the time.

Eyewitness News spoke with the man who shot the video - and who didn't want to be identified. He said his first thought was to get video of the incident.

He said he was amazed that no one ended up crashing. The Jetta driver said he doesn't know what tipped off the suspect, but said he is very grateful for the photographer's quick thinking.

"In the end of the day he got his plate number and he got video of the whole story that kind of shows it from beginning to end," he said.
