Neighbors outraged by lewd behavior at Hollywood Hills Airbnb campsite
Instead of campfire songs and s'mores, some residents in the Hollywood Hills say they're seeing campers who rented out a plot of land in their neighborhood engaging in lewd acts.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Dita de Leon set up a campsite in the backyard of her home in the Hollywood Hills and rented a tent to visitors for $40 a night using the home-sharing website Airbnb.

"I wanted to share the view, I wanted to share this amazing experience," de Leon said.

Residents of multi-million dollar homes in the neighborhood are outraged. Some claim to have seen guests openly engaging in sexual activity.

Airbnb issued the following statement: "Airbnb guests expect unique and authentic travel experiences and in turn communities rightfully expect considerate visitors. We have had more than 40 million guests stay with Airbnb. Problems for hosts, guests and neighbors are extremely rare but when they happen, we work fast to make things right."

Meanwhile, Los Angeles police Officer Maggie Dillard says de Leon has done nothing wrong and is not violating any zoning laws.
