EVANSVILLE, Calif. (KABC) -- A SWAT team swarmed the home of an Indiana woman and her adoptive daughter using flash bang grenades, but it all turned out to be a big misunderstanding.

The SWAT team broke through the front of the house and handcuffed the 68-year-old woman and her 18-year-old daughter at gunpoint. It turned out that the man police were looking for didn't even live there.

Police later arrested the correct suspect, who admitted he used his phone to connect to the family's wireless Internet and post threats against the police department. The family's router connection was not protected by a password.

The woman is suing the city of Evansville for excessive force. The city is asking a judge to rule police did nothing wrong, because they had a search warrant for that address.
