SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) -- A Santa Clarita teen was cited for marijuana possession Wednesday after allegedly smoking outside a sheriff's station bureau.

Two teenagers stood next to the entrance of the building at about 11:15 a.m. near Magic Mountain Parkway and Valencia Boulevard. One pulled out a marijuana pipe and was about to smoke, when he was confronted by a detective, a Santa Clarity sheriff's deputy said.

The teen holding the pipe was cited for possession and the other teen did not get cited.

The Detectives Bureau was only 100 yards from the sheriff's station's main building.
