TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. (KABC) -- A 27-year-old mother from Twentynine Palms is accused of killing her three-month-old son last year.

Kaylee Ledford faces murder charges for the death of her son in September 2015. Last year, paramedics arrived at her home on the military base at Twentynine Palms. The infant was found unresponsive.

After the autopsy was complete, Ledford, who is married to a U.S. Marine, was then arrested on July 28 on suspicion of murder and assault on a child causing death.

She was arraigned Monday and entered a not guilty plea. Her bail was set at $1 million. Ledford has a preliminary hearing scheduled next week.
