VIDEO: Police chase of Mercedes ends with PIT maneuver in East Hollywood

EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Dramatic video shows police bringing a wild multi-county chase of a Mercedes Benz to an end with a PIT maneuver in East Hollywood.

California Highway Patrol said the pursuit began in Orange County when a woman failed to yield at about 3 a.m. on Friday.

Authorities said the driver made her way north on the 5 Freeway and hit speeds ranging from 30 to 90 mph.

Police brought a wild police chase to an end with a dramatic PIT maneuver in East Hollywood.

CHP moved in and performed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle near Vermont Avenue and the 101 Freeway at about 3:25 a.m.

Video showed CHP officers surrounding the car and taking the woman into custody without further incident.
