ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (KABC) -- The city of Aliso Viejo is joining Orange County and several other cities that are challenging California's sanctuary state law.
The council made the decision following about four hours of public comments Wednesday night. Dozens of residents spoke out for and against the resolution.
The law prohibits law enforcement from fully cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
The federal government is suing to try to block the law.
