After a first-round exit and an injury-plagued season, Los Angeles Clippers coach and team president Doc Rivers intends to shake up his basketball department, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that Rivers is planning to move assistant coach Lawrence Frank into a high-ranking position in the Clippers' front office to assist Rivers on personnel matters.

Another looming switch for the Clippers, sources say, is veteran assistant coach Brendan O'Connor moving from behind the bench to the front of it to fill the void created by Frank's move to management.

Frank has served as a head coach with the New Jersey Nets and Detroit Pistons and was in his second stint as a bench assistant to Rivers after serving in a similar capacity in Boston.
