Texas A&Mquarterback Trevor Knight left with a shoulder injury in Saturday's loss to Mississippi State.

The No. 4 Aggies trailed 28-7 when Knight left the game. They went on to lose 35-28 to unranked Mississippi State.

"We'll evaluate him and see where he is," Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said after the game. "Obviously, it was his shoulder."

Knight injured his right (throwing) shoulder on a 19-yard touchdown run at the end of the first quarter. After going to the locker room, he returned to the game after missing one series. However, he fell on the same shoulder near the Mississippi State bench midway through the second quarter and didn't return.

The former Oklahoma transfer was wearing street clothes and a sling on the Texas A&M sideline in the second half. He was 5-of-14 for 43 yards and also ran for 54 yards and a touchdown before he left the game.

Backup Jake Hubenak replaced Knight at quarterback. The sophomore finished 11-of-17 for 222 yards and two touchdowns.
