LOS ANGELES -- San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker tweaked his left ankle in the first quarter of Sunday's 107-92 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and also bruised the thigh on the same leg, but the injuries won't keep him out of Wednesday's Game 2 of the Western Conference playoffs.

"He tweaked his ankle. He retaped it, and he's fine," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "He'll be ready to play on Wednesday, but he did tweak it."

It appeared Parker suffered the injury in the first quarter defending Blake Griffin.

Parker briefly left the game and returned before eventually heading to the locker room to get the ankle retaped. Parker finished the game with 10 points in more than 28 minutes with one assist and two rebounds.

"To start [the game] with twisting my ankle, I was like, 'Come on,' " Parker said. "I was like, couldn't believe it; had to retape. But hey, it's like that."

He said he would also play through the thigh injury.

"Yeah, same thing. It'll be sore tomorrow. But hey, nobody cares," Parker said. "Wednesday, we have to come and play. That definitely helps [the Spurs won't be practicing again until Tuesday] because it will be sore tomorrow. Hopefully by Wednesday, hopefully, I'll be fine."
