LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southern California will see one more day of summer-like temperatures Friday, but a cooldown arrives this weekend.
A cooling trend returns Saturday and will continue into early next week, according to the National Weather Service. For those traveling to the Coachella music festival in Indio, Friday is expected to be in the triple digits and the weekend will be in the upper 90s.
Los Angeles and Orange counties Friday will see afternoon sun amid a high of 84. Saturday will be in the upper 70s.
The valleys and Inland Empire Friday will be in the low 90s. Temperatures will drop to around 80 degrees Saturday.
Beaches Friday will see morning fog and afternoon sunshine, with a high of 71 degrees and a low of 55.
Mountains Friday can expect sunshine, along with a high of 74 degrees and an overnight low of 42.
Deserts Friday will reach a high of 88 and a low of 57. In Palm Springs, temperatures are expected to hit triple-digits.
