HERMOSA BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A preliminary-magnitude 2.9 earthquake struck off the coast of Hermosa Beach Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck just before 8:30 p.m. and was centered nearly 2.5 miles west-southwest of Hermosa and was about 6 miles in depth, the USGS said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
People in Venice, Marina del Rey and parts of West Los Angeles reported feeling the quake.
