LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- With Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's term winding down, the race to fill his seat is heating up. One of the candidates is businessman and former Metro boardmember Mel Wilson.
Wilson kicked off his campaign over the summer at the site of his first real estate venture, a shopping center in Pacoima.
In an interview with ABC7's David Ono, Wilson explained why he is running for mayor.
"I'm in this fight because our city is in a lot of trouble, and I know I can solve these complex problems that we have in our city," Wilson said.
