SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) -- An overturned tanker truck spilled about 50 to 75 gallons of clay acid on Newhall Ranch (126) Road in Santa Clarita Tuesday.

Authorities responded to the scene at about 8:40 a.m. Both off-ramps on Newhall Ranch (126) Road that connect to the 5 Freeway were shut down due to the spill, according to the California Highway Patrol. Ramps and roadways were re-opened by 3:40 p.m.

The driver of the big rig was not injured. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
