5.8-magnitude earthquake hits Mexican state of Oaxaca, USGS says

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Mexican state of Oaxaca late Saturday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.



The epicenter was located 3.7 miles south of Santo Domingo Zanatepec, the USGS reported. Its depth was measured at 60 miles.



The quake hit near the bordering state of Chiapas.



There were no immediate reports of injuries or major damage.
