Father remembered after being gunned down by violent suspect
Adan 'Nuno' Corea Jr. was gunned down on Dec. 30 in Panorama City in an apparent road rage incident by violent crime spree suspect Artyom Gasparyan, according to police.

PANORAMA CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The family of a father gunned down in Panorama City by a suspect on a violent crime spree has been left heartbroken.

Police believe Adan "Nuno" Corea Jr. was shot and killed by 32-year-old Artyom Gasparyan in an apparent act of road rage on Dec. 30.

Corea was the husband to Oneyda and father of 20-month-old Sophia and 9-year-old Joseph Corea.

His entire family is mourning after the sudden loss of the 37-year-old.

"He was a good father," his wife Oneyda Corea said holding back tears.

"He's a good guy, a good son," his father Adan Corea Sr. said.

Adan Corea Jr. is described as a family man who was also charitable.

"He always helps people on the street and he always gives them money and food to help them," his son Joseph recalled.

"He always wanted to unite the family as one," his brother Kevin Corea said.

Surveillance cameras captured Adan Corea Jr. driving on Van Nuys Boulevard and Plummer Street in Panorama City moments before police said he was shot and killed by Gasparyan.

Gasparyan was a wanted suspect in connection with several acts of violence including robbery, carjacking, attempted murder and murder over a 26 day period.

Officials said he was responsible for a double shooting in Burbank on Dec. 9, then committed an armed robbery and shooting in West Hollywood on Dec. 29.

On Monday, Gasparyan was shot and wounded by police on the 5 Freeway in Sun Valley following a chase in which he drove the wrong way on the free.

Gasparyan crashed into a vehicle and officers opened fire as he attempted to run away.

He was hospitalized in critical condition.

The Corea family said it now wants justice.

"We want Nuno to have the justice he deserves," Julia Anduray, Adan Corea Jr.'s cousin, said.

Friends and relatives have set up a GoFundMe page to help the Corea family with funeral expenses and the costs of raising his children.
