The jockey who guided American Pharoah to the first Triple Crown in 37 years returned to Southern California and recounted his win.

The jockey who guided American Pharoah to the first Triple Crown in 37 years returned to Southern California and recounted his win.

Victor Espinosa, who grew up on a farm outside Mexico City, is the first Latino and the oldest jockey to win the Triple Crown. He donated his prize money to City of Hope, a local cancer treatment and research hospital.

"I always believe, in life, health is the most important thing," Espinosa said.
