Apple to replace defective iPhone batteries

CUPERTINO, Calif. (KABC) -- If your iPhone 5 battery is dying too quickly, you may be eligible for a replacement from Apple.

The company has announced on its website that it will replace the battery packs for free in some phones.

Apple says the affected iPhone 5 devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013 and fall within a limited range of serial numbers.
