Olympic protest in streets of San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO Saturday's rally is one of several protest events planned ahead of the arrival of the Olympic torch, which will makes its only North American appearance in San Francisco on Wednesday.

The Human Rights Torch Relay features a rally, art show, live music and a 6-kilometer run with the torch through downtown.

It's an international effort organized by a Falun Gong advocacy group to protest China's alleged torture and imprisonment of religious and political dissidents.

The Human Rights Torch was lit in Athens in August and has wound its way through cities around the world.
