"The discounts I got were like, I think at least 50 percent off," said Nadia Balaci.
Gilt.com and Ideeli.com are just two sites where shoppers can save quite a bit. Nadia Balici of Los Angeles found deeply discounted designer accessories through Ideeli.com.
"I love clutches, so this is my first purchase. It's a green clutch, open it up, plenty of room for going out," said Nadia. "And then my second was another clutch. I had to get a different color, so this is like an ostrich embossed clutch. I've saved, just on these two, like at least $300."
Shoppers log on to each site by invitation, usually from another member. Once a shopper is in, he or she is able to start receiving e-mail announcements about sales. Those sales can last a few days or a few hours.
"In our Diane von Furstenberg sale, we were selling eight dresses a second," said Gilt Group Founder Alexis Maybank.
Shoppers do, however, need to take note of final sales. The return policies do vary.
Both the gilt.com and ideeli.com have set up special accounts for ABC7 viewers.
