L.A. traffic project study to get funds

LOS ANGELES The city wants to turn Olympic and Pico Boulevards into one-way streets.

The project, favored by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, has prompted several lawsuits.

Opponents say the plan will make it harder to park and lead to more traffic in their neighborhoods.

If approved, the environmental impact report is expected to take several months to complete.
