L.A. murders, rape down from last year

LOS ANGELES Chief William Bratton said they've had about four homicides so far this month, compared to 42 homicides during July of last year.

Other crimes rates are also down. Rapes dropped 16 percent, robberies are down seven percent and aggravated assaults dropped six percent.

One thing that is on the rise is drunk driving arrests. Bratton says those are up 19 percent compared to last year.
