August 14, 2008 11:35:48 AM PDT
Some patients with chronic chest pain may be able to forgo surgery all together. Researchers discovered that drugs may be as good as artery-opening stents for many patients.

The study finds that those people responded well to a combination of drugs. The study results are in the New England Journal of Medicine.
