Autopsy scheduled for Scott Ruffalo

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. The 39-year-old died Monday from a gunshot wound to his head, one week after being rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Police hope the autopsy can help them figure out what happened the night of the shooting in his Beverly Hills apartment.

Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26, surrendered to police shortly before Ruffalo died Monday and was booked on a no-bail warrant for attempted murder, but she was released about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to jail records.

Adham, the daughter of a wealthy Saudi businessman, told police Ruffalo shot himself in the head early Dec. 1 during game of Russian Roulette, according to her attorney.

Adham drew the attention of law enforcement after police discovered images of her on surveillance video showing she was at Ruffalo's apartment building about the time the fatal shot was fired.

Adham's boyfriend, 29-year-old Brian Burton Scofield, was arrested Monday and booked for a misdemeanor traffic warrant. Bail was set at $2,500 for Scofield, who is scheduled to be in court Feb. 6, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Web site.

Police continue to investigate the case as a homicide.
