Kimball says no injuries have been reported.
A hazardous materials team from the Los Angeles County Fire Department is at the scene to clean up about 150 gallons of diesel fuel that spilled and spread to the dirt on the side of the freeway.
Workers had the carpool lane and one other lane open by about 4 a.m.
