This announcement came from none other than Lee Unkrich, the director of the upcoming "Toy Story 3," although Unkrich failed to mention for how much longer the movies would stay in theaters. Go figure.
Sure, you've probably seen both of these movies a million times, but you're truly missing out if you don't do yourself a favor and check them out in Disney Digital 3D.
Aside from getting two movies for the price of one, you'll also be treated to a ten-minute intermission, complete with trivia voiced by characters from the films. And did I mention you also get to see the new "Toy Story 3" trailer in 3D?
Pure bliss, I tell you.
The films really hold up after all these years, and it's actually surprising to see that these two features seem made for 3D in the first place.
In the original, for example, the point-of-view shot choices really make you feel like you're Buzz Lightyear soaring across Andy's room.
You can't go wrong here. Take your kids, take your neighbor's kids. Seeing these films on the big screen is an entirely different experience than watching them on your TV.
