$22K stolen from Israeli basketball team

Israeli basketball team Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv was in Southern California to play an exhibition game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Lt. Albert Gavin of the Los Angeles Police Department says someone got into the visitors' locker room during the game and stole $22,000 dollars in valuables, including watches, jewelry and $15,000 in cash from 10 members of the team.

Gavin says the team noticed the valuables were missing during halftime but didn't notify police until after the game was over.

Police didn't get statements from the victims, because they had already left to return to Israel.

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv also lost that game to the Clippers, 108-96.
