Thermal imaging led the team to the hikers, but bad weather delayed the rescue effort.
The hikers were eventually able to walk out with rescuers. The men refused medical treatment and were allowed to go home.
Hikers rescued after cold night in foothills
SYLMAR, Calif. Rescuers found the men in a canyon in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains near Sylmar. The hikers, both in their 20s, were reported missing on Wednesday night.
