The woman was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Investigators said the suspect is a Hispanic man, about 25-years-old and he was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with white letters.
Woman shot in botched robbery in Silver Lake
SILVER LAKE, Calif. Police said the 32-year-old woman was walking to her car with two other people at about 9:45 p.m. when a man walked up and tried to steal her purse. The suspect fired a shot at the woman and fled the scene. He did not get away with the purse.
