Great Britain's oldest house unearthed

SCARBOROUGH, England The home site is in Scarborough in northeastern England. It's believed to have been a waterside home for nomad hunters.

They say the home goes back 11,000 years, as its artifacts are older than Stonehenge.

England was not an island then. Geologists say it was still connected to continental Europe.

Discoveries at the site suggest the house was about 12-feet wide, constructed of timber and had a roof of thatched reeds.
