Florida dad threatens kids on school bus

September 17, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
A Central Florida father was arrested for threatening children on a school bus, and it was caught on surveillance video. The video shows James Jones not only confronting the children as he headed down the aisle of the bus, but also threatening to kill them.

The bus carries middle school children to a Sanford school.

Jones reportedly wanted his daughter, who has cerebral palsy, to point out who threw an unwrapped condom at her the day before. Jones reportedly threatened the child and the bus driver.

Jones' lawyers said the father was simply trying to defend his daughter.

"This young lady has been bullied since the first day of school. This is a new school for her. It was an overwhelming experience. She's currently on suicide watch because of this matter. So we would just ask everyone to reserve judgment," said Sadiki Alexander.

The charges against Jones are pending. The boy who allegedly threw the condom may also face charges.
