2 killed in suspected DUI crash in South L.A.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES The two-vehicle crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 7700 block of South Western Avenue, according to the /*Los Angeles Fire Department*/.

A dark-hued 2003 Cadillac CTS heading northbound on Western Avenue crossed into the opposing southbound lane and struck a 2008 Honda Civic. Then, police said the Cadillac crashed into an unoccupied two-story apartment.

Passengers in the front and rear seats of the Cadillac died at the scene of the crash. Both were men between the ages of 20 and 24. Another passenger seated in the rear behind the motorist, suffered serious injuries and one last passenger in the vehicle escaped with no injuries.

The female driver was treated at a nearby hospital, released and eventually booked. The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital but is expected to be OK.
