Jennifer Grey is ready to take on 'Dancing'

LOS ANGELES

Actress /*Jennifer Grey*/ is once again having the time of her life. Twenty-three years after she won our hearts opposite /*Patrick Swayze*/ in "Dirty Dancing," she's now stepping out with professional dancer Derek Hough -- a man who's danced his way to two "/*Dancing With the Stars*/" championships.

"I really, really think it's so fun and he makes me want to do it," said Grey.

"Her energy and her excitement is what's really exciting and important," said Hough. "It gives me that buzz and that is why we do it."

Grey has embraced life's challenges after undergoing surgery and treatment for thyroid cancer. Her experience has taught her it's worth moving out of your comfort zone and taking chances.

"She's dancing full out and she's going for it," said Hough. "It is my responsibility to look out for her and let her dance how she wants to."

She's also learning not to be so hard on herself.

"I don't have to blow everyone away. Maybe I can do just a really good job, you know, with whatever I've got going on," said Grey.

Season 11 kicks off Monday night at 8 p.m.

The new cast includes: Mike Sorrentino "The Situation," Audrina Patridge, David Hasselhoff, Bristol Palin, Brandy, Rick Fox, Florence Henderson, Margaret Cho, Kurt Warner, Michael Bolton and Kyle Massey.
