Could Harry Potter return? Rowling says maybe

CHICAGO In a taped interview, Rowling told Winfrey that the characters are still in her head and she "could definitely" write several new books about them.

At this point though in her life the famed author says she's moved on to a new phase of her writing.

More than 400 million copies of the books about the boy wizard have been sold. And with that success, Rowling says she was faces with extreme pressures, including paparazzi and reporters searching her trash.

She says her fame was "like being a Beatle" and there was a time she "was barely hanging by a thread."

She also revealed that the late King of Pop, /*Michael Jackson*/, once approached her about turning the novels into a musical, but she turned him down.

Rowling was ranked by Forbes magazine as one of Britain's richest women.
