The sari worn by alleged White House party crasher Michaele Salahi was auctioned off for $7,000. She posted a message on Facebook saying that she was glad the dress went for higher than expected.

The co-owner of the salon where Salahi got ready before last year's state dinner placed the winning bid.

He said he may donate the sari to a museum.

Proceeds from the auction will go toward the Bush-Clinton Haiti Fund and fighting multiple sclerosis.

Salahi is one of five women starring in the Bravo series, "The Real Housewives of D.C."
