Royal Court announced for 2011 Rose Parade

PASADENA, Calif. The Royal Court members were chosen from a field of 31 finalists. More than 1,000 Royal Court hopefuls applied for the chance to preside over the 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade.

The members of the Royal Court are:

  • Tatyane Anaid Berrios, 17, Arcadia High School
  • Sarah Christine Fredrickson, 17, Maranatha High School
  • Evanne Elizabeth Friedmann, 17, La Canada High School
  • Jessica Michelle Montoya, 17, Flintridge Preparatory School
  • Tenaya Miyoko Senzaki, 17, Pasadena High School
  • Kathryn Morris Thomson, 17, Flintridge Sacred Heart
  • Michelle Washington, 18, Pasadena City College

"These seven young ladies are outstanding role models for the youth of Pasadena," said Edward Afsharian, chairman of the Queen and Court Committee. "They were selected from a pool of the most talented and poised in the Pasadena area. They are truly remarkable and will be wonderful ambassadors for the Tournament of Roses."

The Rose Queen will be selected from among the seven Royal Court princesses on Oct. 19.
