Bell residents get recall election date

BELL, Calif. The City Council barely reached a quorum to conduct business.

Mayor Oscar Hernandez is out on bail. So is Vice Mayor Teresa Jacobo.

They were joined by the only council member who's not charged with a crime, Lorenzo Velez.

They approved a motion for a recall election on March 8 for Hernandez, Jacobo and Councilman George Mirabal, who was not present at the meeting.
